Ko-Kongobyoe Morikuni

Morikuni is a Swordsmith of the very early production of this school of Swordsmiths. The founder of this school - a Bizen Swordsmith travelled to Chikuzen province and began teaching there.

Morikuni is the son of Takatsuna the founder. His works cover the following periods of 1230 to 1278. His swords are powerful and magnificent in shape following the changes occuring as a result of the Mongol attempt to invade Japan. They are robust in appearance - thicker, wider with Chu Kissaki and less tapered than the earlier sword shapes.
