SWORD #245-45

Noshu-Seki Ju Takeyama Yoshi Nao Saku

Tachi 1933 - 1945

This Tachi saw action on Okinawa. It may or may not have saved the life of the officer who carried this sword into battle. There is clear evidence on the Scabbard of what appears to be indentations of a 45 Calibre machine gun slugs. Perhaps caused by a Thompson machine gun.

The blade is in the tradition of the Mino Seki School and the maker is a Smith called Takeyama Yoshi Nao. A really interesting sword in Muji grain and Gunome/Midare Hamon. The lengthis 66.2cm

Price: $1,200.00
