SWORD #245-46

SOSHU-JU TSUNAHIRO SAKU

1532 - 1550

This is a rare Soshu Tsunahiro blade by the first generation in Hirazukuri shape, rated 120 points in Hawley's book, Jo-Jo Saku in Fujishiro's Koto volume.

The Ebi-Saya is also unique with matching signed fittings by Kanefusa. The blade is in excellent shape and flawless. Besides being a top Smith of his period, he was an excellent teacher whose students came from far and wide to seek his knowledge.

The blade is engraved with Bo-Hi, Soe-Hi, Gomabashi and Rendai.

The Jigane is Ko-Itame, well grained Ji-Nie and fine Chikei.

The Hamon is Gunome/Midare and Doranba.

I highly recommend this blade.
